Oreo Cupcakes!!

Day 58…

OreoC[2]

I am grateful for amazing friends in my life. One of them in particular always is willing to help me out when I am in a bind. Earlier this week, I needed 48 cupcakes and I didn’t have any time to make them. I had thought about dropping by Sweet Tooth Fairy or Cocoa Bean and purchasing them but I really didn’t have time for that either. I had so much going on and my day seemed to get crazier than ever. SO…my dear friend, Vieve, came to the rescue. She made 48 delicious Oreo cookie cupcakes and they were scrumptious. Thank you dear friend for helping me out when I was in a bind. I am so grateful for your friendship and so grateful for you amazing help!!!

Tucano’s!!

Day 57…

The other night (Wednesday), I attended a celebration dinner at Tucano’s for Austin and Kaylie. I have never eaten there and I knew that I was in for an adventure.  Believe me, it definitely was an adventure.   They have a delicious salad bar with a bunch of crazy different tasting foods.  Then, the meat…all different kinds are brought to your table.  I was trying so hard to be brave…well, maybe I wasn’t as brave as Brylie.  She would try different types of meat but there was one I wouldn’t try…chicken hearts.  Nope, not this girl.

I love this girl.  Oh my goodness, I could not believe that she ate it. Smile

It is graduation day!!!

Day 56…

It is graduation day!!! I love graduations. I love to the see the look of accomplishment on the graduate’s faces (and that of their families). I love celebrating their lives and all that they have done to get to this point in their lives. I had the opportunity to attend two different graduations today.

My niece, Kaylie, graduated from Spanish Fork High and my nephew, Austin, graduated from Springville High. They both amazing and I am so grateful to be their aunt. I am definitely proud of them and I am excited to see what the next chapter of their lives bring.

Saying goodbye…

Day 55…

It is so hard for me to say goodbye to people. It is definitely that I truly struggle with. I always get a lump in my chest when it comes to it. Even though people say that we will keep in touch…it rarely happens even though I try my hardest to keep friendships growing strong. So, when it comes to saying goodbye, I really don’t do that great.

20140527_203817

Last night for young women’s, we had to say goodbye to one of our amazing young women leaders. Brittani has been awesome to serve with. She truly has touched my heart in so many ways. I will miss seeing and visiting with her. BUT…I truly know that their prayers have been answered and she and her family are doing what they are supposed to be doing. It is just so difficult to say goodbye.  Good Luck Brittani!  We will definitely miss you!!

Lions…

Day 54…

It is the end of the school year where many events are going on. This week is going to be an extremely busy one. Today we attended Brylie’s end of the year program. She was absolutely adorable. She did a report on lions. I cannot believe how fast she is growing up. She was so confident when she jumped up in front of everyone and gave her sweet little presentation.  I am so proud of her.  Aw…I just get all goose bumpy when I think of how much she has grown. I just love it but I want her to stay little. You know…one of those bittersweet things.

I just love this girl so much!!!

Memorial Day!

Day 53…

It is Memorial Day. As soon as we arrived home from camping, Mom and I visited the cemetery. I love visiting the cemetery when it is all decorated. There is just something about it that brings a smile to my heart…maybe it is the love that I feel for my grandparents and those that have passed on. I truly miss them but I know that I will see them again…sometime.

Dickie Jane, a dear friend of our family, always makes a beautiful flower arrangement for my grandparent's grave.  She is so adorable and gets so excited about it. . Every year, she worries that it is less than perfect and EVERY year, it is  more than perfect.  It is always a special treasure to set on the graves of my amazing grandparents.

A pleasantly relaxing day!

Day 52…

20140525_14405020140525_144231

I love being outside and relaxing in the sunshine but the problem with this weekend is there hasn’t been very much sunshine. It has been enjoyable at times but a tad bit cold at other times. I didn’t pack very many warm clothes and I really wish that I had. I am grateful for the opportunity to be here and just be with my family. Sometimes life gets so crazy and I feel like I am being pulled here and there, not knowing what I should be doing or fixing or saying but here…it is just nice to sit and read and think.

Jessica, Brylie and Shad

We took drive around the lake (reservoir) and it started to rain on us. It wasn’t too bad but we did fill the dribbles. I love just spending time on the water.  I find it pleasantly relaxing.  Aw…I am not ready for this weekend to be over.   After the ride on the lake, Dad fixed us some delicious Dutch Oven Ribs.

I received this snapchat from a sweet friend today. It totally made me smile. Love these girls!! Thanks Meriah and Anna for being amazing girls!! I love you two so much!!!

I love spending time with my family. We can be crazy and have a good time with the simplest things. Brylie started to dance and Dad joined her.  Aw…lots of fun and laughter when you are around this little one.

My shadow…

Day 50…

We are off on a family camping trip to Schofield Reservoir. I am pretty positive that the next few days my posts will consist of beautiful scenery, family and amazing adventures. J Ok, probably just beautiful scenery and family. I plan to read lots and sit in the beautiful sunshine. I hope there is sunshine because there isn’t any right now. In fact, it is a tad bit cold.

ess1403632589693

This little munchkin has been my shadow since we have arrived. I am grateful for that. I love her too pieces. The conversations that I have with her are hysterical. She is a grown up in a little child’s body. She truly brings a smile to my face!! Love her with all of my heart.

Oh my heck, they have teepees that you can sleep in. I want to sleep in one of them. Hmm…someday…bucket list add on. HA!!

Stamp & Chat

Day 48…

I love spending time creating. I love sharing. I love doing things that make others smile. So…tonight…I had plenty of smiles. I love nights like these. It was stamp & chat. What is this you ask? It is a night—once a month—that some of my friends get together to stamp and chat. I teach them how to make three cards and we talk and laugh and talk and laugh. It is awesome. I love these types of evenings. I am grateful for friends who like to create and have fun.

StampChat[2]

You should join us sometime…it is a fun filled couple of hours!!  I am sure that you would enjoy yourself. Smile

Sprinkles…

Day 47…

Ok…I have the coolest friend in the world. She goes on the most incredible vacations and has so much fun. I live through her adventures. She found located in California a cupcake ATM. Serious?! An ATM that serves cupcakes! Who would have thought such a thing? She located the spot and she and her husband drove there (after her amazing adventure at Disneyland) to experience this cupcake ATM.

day 69-1

Guess what? She brought me one back. It totally made my entire day!! Aw…love this girl. She truly brings a smile to my face. I am grateful that she lets me be a part of her adventures vicariously.

Aw…how fun!!!

Motivation…

Day 46…

Ok…so today’s thoughts regard motivation. How do you get yourself motivated to do anything? I mean anything. I am a list maker and I LOVE to cross of my accomplishments—it usually gives me such a sense of motivation. USUALLY is the key word here. Lately, I have made lists after lists after lists and they just sit there…waiting to be accomplished. I have no motivation to do anything. I am hoping that it has something to do with the lack of sleep. Hmmm…I am not sure. Some days I seem to get so much accomplished and other days…like today…I don’t.

Day 46

So…I was looking through some quotes and found this cute little picture…it made me smile. Thank goodness, I needed to find a smile today. HA!

What do you do to be motivated?

Seminary graduation

1619607_10203818148879395_4087957055511575010_n

I was invited to my nephew’s seminary graduation. It was awesome. The spirit was incredibly strong as those that participated were sharing their testimonies. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to attend and to witness such greatness. I am so proud of my nephew. Thank you Austin for letting me share in this experience with you. I cannot believe that today you are graduating and it seems like yesterday you were born. Time passes by so quickly.  I am so proud of this guy.

Shopping brings pure happiness…sometimes!

t-20140515013846

I have a friend that will be entering the LDS Mission Training Center soon. She has asked me several times if I would take her shopping for clothes. I helped her shop for school last year and had a blast. So, on Thursday, we took the entire day and went shopping. I think that we perused every store in the University Mall looking for skirts, blouses, sweaters, leggings and anything else that we could think of as she embarks for her LDS mission to Poland. We laughed and laughed. She is not a shopper so we had to stop several times. At one point, she had been a really good sport trying on lots and lots of skirts and things that we rewarded ourselves with delicious ice cream from Coldstone. We were able to accomplish so much and probably need only one or more shopping trips and she will be already for her mission.  I am so excited for her and cannot wait to hear about her adventures in Poland.

I am excited to see her growth and here of her amazing adventures. I am so proud that she has chosen to serve a mission.

Aw…today was a great day!!

. Love her smile.

3 special things…

Today I found happiness in three things…

ess1402721882070

These three things made me smile. First of all, my little foot-rester- thingy- majig (what are they really called?) helped me to smile today. I absolutely love it. Vieve had had one under her desk and I really wanted one and never got around to purchasing one. So she gave me one for Christmas (or was it my birthday) and I have been so grateful for it ever since. It is so nice to put your feet and legs on it. LOVE IT.

Second and third things, my external hard drive and my USB. Oh, I am grateful for them. They contain so many happy things. All…three little simple items that make my life smile with happiness. If I didn’t have them, I know that I still would be happy but so grateful that they have helped my life be organized and simple. HA
